The Dull Sky

That Cloudy Day When Everything’s Grey

Today the sky's dull, with unidentifiable clouds,
the sun, lost somewhere, amongst the greyness,
the moon, oversleeping, unable to differentiate time,
i wait for that chance insect to walk over my arm,
that lively golden ray to caress the grass tips,
that colorful beetle to fly over my spectacles,
those unknown bunch of flowers to happily gossip stories unknown,

but instead, i get this cold gush of wind,
caressing the face, goosebumps on my skin,
my eyes search for that one patch of silvery lining,
somewhere, somehow, but alas, there’s none,

still, i will wait, wait,
for tomorrow, for the golden rays of sunshine,
to be back to nourish us all.

Thank you so much, Francine Fallara and Thomas Plummer for sheltering so many of my stuff, here!
