two score, we’ve been set adrift
two more since the bloody stiff was crowned
thick skin, never turning tack
word’s in that it’s coming back around
(but i won’t sit back anymore)
(no i won’t sit back anymore)
displaced by the devilkin
cold waste, where they left us in between
all wrong, how they made this world
how long will they stay impearled and clean?
(‘cause i can’t hold back anymore)
(no i can’t hold back anymore)
one shot for every one of us in the dirt
run hotter ‘cause the covetous never learn
i’ll let the flame grow higher, higher
i’ll set the world on fire, torch the skies and i’ll let ‘em burn
cold bronze laid upon a throne
old bonds paid in bullets, bone, and blood
take heart in the beating thrum
take part, raising fire from the flood
(‘cause i won’t sit back anymore)
(no i won’t sit back anymore)
no gold, just the falling sun
bell toll ringing buried under rust
all thrashed and inferno-brushed
she said, “ashes to ashes, dust to dust”
(so i can’t hold back anymore)
(no i can’t hold back anymore)
one shot for every one of us in the dirt
run hotter ‘cause the covetous never learn
i’ll let the flame grow higher, higher
i’ll set the world on fire, torch the skies and i’ll let ‘em burn
this would be A Fever Dream, but they don't have that one on bandcamp; still, every EE record is awash in the sauce. great lyrics, great arrangements, great melodies, just great art pop all around. mekaloton
electro-jazz with a wide variety of exciting sounds. exemplifies the balance that i'm always looking for, between conventional, appealing songwriting and the willingness to get weird with it. mekaloton

I used to wish for an album like this, until my friend sent me Breeze Blows last year... since then, my outlook on life and love and who I can be has changed for the better, all thanks to this album and Jamie's unique talent for capturing the way it feels to find yourself and learn to love them. I know what I want to hear, cuz it's this~ meeowsie
