lyrics
If you want communication, use a telephone
When you entertain the nation in some microphone
Dictation can be made on a dictaphone
That's communication
That's communication
You can send a wire by telegram
Also get the news by teletype
Now we look at mars through a telescope
That's communication
Dah dit dah dit, dah dah dit dah
Dah dit dah dit, dah dah dit dah
Dah dit dah dit, dah dah dit dah
That's communication
Western Union telegram, cablegram too
Television, radiogram, bring a message through
Pony express and airmail and short wave
When you send this way, how much time you save
Dah dit dah dit, dah dah dit dah
Dah dit dah dit, dah dah dit dah
Dah dit dah dit, dah dah dit dah
That's communication
If you want communication, use a telephone
When you entertain the nation in some microphone
Dictation can be made on a dictaphone
That's communication
Western Union telegram, cablegram too
Television, radiogram, bang a message to you
Pony express, airmail, short wave
When you send this way, how much time you save
Dah dit dah dit, dah dah dit dah
Dah dit dah dit, dah dah dit dah
Dah dit dah dit, dah dah dit dah
That's communication
Super CD, I like especially that tune “Nobody knows you when you are down and out“, which I so far had “in my ear“ in the interpretation of Eric Clapton. This one here is also wondetful!
Great CD! Werner Rohlfs
I'm digging the covers. Some of these charts are harder to pull off with a small group (i.e. The Jeep is Jumpin'.) Overall it's a fun album with popular songs. The version of Castle Rock especially stands out. Jose Tello
On “Meet Me By the River,” Dawn Landes’s self-described “Nashville record,” buoyant country melodies settle deep into lush instrumentation. Bandcamp New & Notable May 7, 2018
Since visiting New Orleans in March 2005, I'm constantly on the lookout for recordings to bring back the sound of jazz, traditional in style but contemporary in performance. Most recordings, new and old, are somehow over-polished and lack the nerve and heat of a tight band of super-skilled musicians hitting it off together in their love of the original cross-cultural musical bullseye that is New Orleans jazz. This is the best recording I've found so far that really brings that feeling across. avadeaux
