Masque: Gold Bits

Got a based coat on some of the gold bits today. Every bit of covering the primer helps.

Masque: Tail, Skirt, Bits

Started with that bit of tail that sticks out from under the skirt and I thought I did OK with it, but I need to go back and look at why it looks so weird in the first angle. Then I did shading and highlighting on the skirt, and then base coat on some of the bits. I might go back and do some of the gold areas next.

Masque: Skirt

Finished the underside of the skirt (mostly) and got it and the little ribbon next to it attached. Then I got a base coat on the top side of the skirt. I think next I'll do the end of their tail, then probably work on the skirt until it's done. After that, the rest is just a bunch of little bits. I think I may bring the ends of the gloves up to red as well. I'll wait and see what I think of that after finishing the skirt and collar.

Masque: Legs

Focused on the legs tonight. I got the stockings the way I  want them, did highlights, then the jewelry. I think it's ready to have the skirt attached, but I need to finish the inside of the skirt first. I will try to get that done tomorrow.

Masque: Horns, Clothing

 Got highlights on the horns, claws and such. Then, I got a base coat on the clothing. I have a plan, not sure how it'll work out, but we'll see. I'm going to blend the stockings up to red, and the skirt down to red. We'll see how that goes.

Masque: Skin, Face, Hair, Claws

Finished the skin and face details, then started and finished the hair and got a base coat on the horns/claws. They are coming along! I still need to make color choices, though I am managing to push it off longer.

Masque: Skin Shade & Highlights

Got shading and one round of highlight on their skin. I need to do another round of highlight, then facial details. I'm not sure what I'm going to work on after that; maybe the hair. I'm having some trouble deciding colors; it'd be easier if I had the missing pieces attached but I need to get his legs painted before I can do that...and I need to decide what color for the legs. Sigh.

Masque: Skin

Next project! As you can see, this is the guy the small marble-ish base is for. This is the Masque, a Slaanesh figure from GW. I've got a base coat on his skin. I also worked on the large marble base tonight but didn't get pictures. I might regret the choice for the base. It worked well enough for the Infernal Enrapturess, where the figure covered up most of the base. Here, and on the big one, the base might be too saturated and too busy, and draw too much attention. We'll see.

Finished Euryale. Need to finish 4 figures through the rest of the year to meet my goal.

Euryale: More Tail

Finished the pattern on her tail, and relined the medium brown. Also got a shadow on the belly scales. I need to finish those front scales and the base, and that'll be it for her. I'm hoping to finish tomorrow.

Euryale: Tail Pattern

Got the main part of the pattern on the tail. Made the stripe too wide, sigh. Now I can either re-line those scales, or try something else. I think I'm going to go with something else, and put dark spots in there instead.

 Finished lining the tail (ug!) and got a base coat on the front side. I think after I finish this I'm not going to do anything with scales for a long time.

Bases

I didn't feel like dealing with more snake tail today, so I worked on the bases for my next projects.

Euryale: Head, Tail. So much tail.

 Did some shade and highlight on the head she's carrying. Did not spend a lot of time on it, so it's kinda rough. Then I worked on her tail. The reference photo I'm working from has dark outlines around the scale, so I'm lining. Did not get through the whole tail.

Good lord, her tail is long.

Euryale: Hair, Head, Tail

Got highlights on her hair, and base coats on her tail and the head she's holding. Well, baser coat on the back side of the tail, anyway.

Euryale: Skin, Face, Hair, Sand

 Finished the sand on the base, her skin, and her face. Then I got a base coat on her hair. Next I'll finish the hair and probably work on the head she's holding.

Euryale: Skin Shading, Sand

Got shading on the skin, and a base coat and shade on the sand. Next will be finishing the sand and skin.

Euryale: Pillar, Skin

 Finished the pillar. Not thrilled with it, but it'll do. Then I got a base coat on her skin. Also got the matte varnish on the demon today, and took the tape off the plinth. Yeah, spray shellac followed by painter's tape kinda made a mess. Will not do again.
