Type RH & SH - High Resistance & High Voltage Resistors |
|
Types RH and SH are ceramic tubes coated with ceramic film, sintered at a high temperature, and then are helical cut to the exact resistance required. Using this method, resistors can be manufactured to high resistance values, however the resistor becomes inductive due to the helical method of cutting. Compared to conventional film resistors, these resistors have a much larger allowable injection energy capacity (joules) and higher voltage characteristics.
Typical Applications:
Surge absorber, SR element protection, electric field intensity regulator, capacitor charger, high voltage equipment loader, charging resistor for impulse generator, high voltage and high resistance circuits |
