Unfolding

As the year starts to develop so is my work at the  studio
and I am starting to unfold to a new me,
I am learning about the abstract world and just loving it!

I`ve started a new series called "Abstractions of the soul"
This studies and paintings are a keeper for me!  In this photo I
love how the plate palette and the rag could be part of this series too!

As some of you may know, I am part of the wonderful experience
Life book 2013, this new dolly is made with the same steps I`ve
shared in my bonus class there,  I am just delighted with so many
beautiful artwork the girls have posted, it so inspiring and I feel
really good and happy about all this, I am grateful to be part of it!

This is the beginning of the new collection I was talking about,
I am taking Alisa`s  Burk class about abstractions and I am learning a lot, she`s
one of my favorite artists and for my birthday I was given her course as a
gift from my sweet sister and I am loving it!!

Of course I have been carving too! This is addictive and I want to keep on it,
here is a sample of the newest, some sweet hearts, all this is posted for sale on my
store, if you are interested, please visit here or look up in the tabs section!
This are hard to let go but I am sure they will make someone happy!

How is your year coming along so far? Are you following your intentions?
I hope one of them is to be HAPPY! :D as much as you can! I know sometimes
life gets on the way but remember to go back there and stay strong!!

New carved stamps and cards!

I have been carving a lot these days and I can`t seem
to stop, it`s really addictive and fun and I want to share
some of my new stamps!

This lady is the first of hopefully many more, I want to make!

Then this flower is used as a background for this cute card!

Then my brother made this one, he just started to carve and he seems to
really like it, I loved his Frida and made a couple of stamps to make this card!
He even mounted it on wood!  I am hoping he makes more!

I`ve used a pan for food for the background, I usually use them for my
palettes but this time I loved it and so I`ve cut a piece and tried and yes,
I liked it a lot! You should try it!  It`s also good for adding dimension to
some pieces like the kitty bellow!

I love this circus! The kitty was inspired by  the collage piece I made for the
card and so I made a stamp of  one cute kitty!

I hope you enjoy my cards and that you get inspired!
Thank you for visiting!  ;D

Carved stamps!

I have been a stamp lover for a long time, I don`t know what it
is but I have to have every design I see in the stores and it can be
quite an expensive obsession!

So a few years a go I decided to make my own and it`s
been a slow journey and I keep learning and finding things about it,
it`s a hard job and takes a lot of precision and care but it`s worth it!

I have been practicing for a long time now and my collection keeps growing!
I will never have enough I think!  Here are a few with elements I love...

Hours of fun play with them, can you tell?

This bellow are my first stamps to be offered for sale in my Etsy shop, I hope, dream
and wish they sell well, I think they are pretty good and cute! Please wish me luck!!!

This little guy bellow  is so cute I can`t stand it!
Don`t you think he`s adorable!

This flower has two sides, I like making a different design in both sides and I love
the frame! It really feels good when you create something original doesn`t it?

I am having a give away over my facebook page, two prints of my original paintings
will be given this next June 6th and you are invited to join and write a comment here
so I can count you in the draw!  Please like my page while you are there, I need all
the love I can get and you will be appreciated and loved back! ;D
