Of course, I'll be around and hopefully a new blog will rise again soon.
I will let everyone know in here; So, stay tuned.

  21. Hello MPK707,

I wish you and all your beloved people the best for 2017, above all in best health.
I should have written a bit earlier, but at the moment I got it that you say goodbye I was a bit shocked (Yes!) and unable to find some reasonable words.
It was so self-evident that everyday at 12:00 AM there was a new great album on your blog that I didn’t realised it first what’s going on, but of course it is never self-evident what you did for all of us and I will thank you so much for 5 fantastic years with great music in great quality, far away from the mainstream stuff. Always presented here in perfection with best rips and tagging.
The best at all is your politeness and kindness in answering every comment which was written, never ever seen on any other blog.
I enjoy the Greeks and I’m glad you’re not gone.

    Nice greetings from Germany. Pubbi

  45. Hello,
Blogmeister over at A - Z pointed me in your direction a few days ago. Since when I've been going a bit mental.

I used to have a LOT of music but along the way I had to lose most of the original vinyl and CDs through one disaster or necessity or another. What I did have I spent years digitising ..into 192kbps MP3s. I didn't know any better, and even if I had - just didn't have the digital space at the time. Of course the limitations of those files became apparent over the years. As did the limitations of hard drives (grrr).

In many cases I don't have the original material to re-digitise, even if I had another lifetime to do it in.

So now whenever I find something in a better quality than I've already got, I take advantage of it with haste; I've often just bookmarked music blogs entries before and been laissez-faire about getting back to them, only to find the entry gone when I did... So I'm a bit more active about things now. Of course, I always accept, if it's gone it's gone. No point hassling people; life's too short.

So - thank you for leaving so many of these resources up, for however long they may be. I'm very grateful for the opportunity to replace my ancient low-res copies - and in some cases grab a few things I've never actually heard (bonus!). So the recent sudden D/L spike will probably have been me, and it'll be going on for a while yet as I gradually work my way through the site over time; at least whilst it's available.

I'm sorry I've nothing to give in return. My latest misfortune, another downsize and consequent severe lack of space, saw me have to dispose of my remaining vinyl. All of it. So I sent it to Blogmeister en masse and he's added it to the pile of things he'll be making available through NoRecordShopsLeft to anyone who wants it.

Thank you for making this material available in decent quality, and thank you for what I am able to harvest to rebuild my own record collection, albeit digital ghosts of the lovely vinyl discs...

    :o)

I have discovered some real gems and rarities in the last few days (and in flac too) and quite a few I bought back in the day. A Mark Kozelek album I missed, the early Kings of Convenience compilation that I had never even heard of, I have been reminded of how great A R Kane were. So many gems you have curated here.

  73. It's surprising what the net deserves you. Found this blog not long ago, and literally shocked me, because almost all the bands I love are here. Plus, I was suffering a depression that held me almost a year and to find this albums was like some kind of relief. I want to thank you wherever yoy are, because all the good things that one does without hoping any profit for them, comes back in some kind of greetings, or something like that.. 😊. Thanks for help me and for your kindness setting these works ve able to many to discover or re-enjoy . Thanks!

    1. Thank you for your long, kind and sensitive comment.
I'm very happy for helping you and this is the most important; more than the actual music.
The blog is under a long "vacation", especially if you live in Greece :) but maybe I need to work again on making new posts some time in the future.
Take care and feel free to write me again whenever you feel the need.
