Through the grace of the path that protects us I found out what she who must not be named looks like and I must say I am simi addicted.To bad she will never be here :(
So, I recently started chatting with a dude from the ML chat rooms. We banter back and forth for days, it's a nice challenge and all that, and then he goes soft and tells me he's into me. It's fine and all initially, the feeling happened to be mutual.
But then he's soft all the time. There's no challenge. I lose interest.
We end up bickering about something, and it ends up just being too complicated for me. I bothered with him in the first place because he seemed intelligent and kept me on my toes. I really don't have the energy for babysitting a guy in his mid-20's who behaves like a 14 year old. So, I tell him as nicely as I can that I think he's cool and I'd be up for banter in the chat rooms, but that I don't think we're compatible as much else. All very grown-up like.
Except he's not really interested. He whines and tries to weasel a way into continuing communication. I shut it down.
And then tonight the weirdest thing happens...
I get a text from a number I don't recognize. All it says is, "Hi". I inquire within about who the texter is, and I'm told I've just given this person my phone number from omegle. Which is odd because I'd been painting furniture for the last four hours and hadn't gone anywhere near omegle.
Strangely enough, I got a text from ML Dude fifteen minutes or so after getting the creeper's text, which I believe was a sad attempt at making himself look innocent. Something about a stomachache. I just don't buy it. The timing was too perfect.
I'm sure you can guess what I thought happened. ML Dude trolls on omegle pretending to be a girl, gives out my phone number to some creeper thinking he scored big, and then I'm left with non-sense texts on my phone. It's not too far out of the realm of possibility is it?
If I'm not totally out of line for assuming it was ML Dude behind this, how do I handle the situation? My base instinct is retaliation, but I've spent years trying to learn the art of "Being a Lady," and from what I remember, retaliation is frowned upon if you've got a cunt.
So, what would you fine folks suggest I do in this situation? Perhaps just ignore the whole thing and move on? Call him a douchebag one last time for old time's sake and then move on? Throw a temper tantrum?
