though i'd been making music on a DAW for years at this point, June of 2024 was when I started working with my saxophone more. I had done some little projects and made pieces for my degrees, but nothing to the nature of EDM.
A few months before I started this piece a friend had introduced me to Gojii's music, and it really affected me (positively, of course). I've always loved atmosphere, and I wanted to make a piece since I had been so inspired by Gojii's music.
Almost two years later now and I've had the opportunity to play saxophone with Gojii multiple times and talk with them where we share some creative visions, and it makes me happy that I had that small spark and it ended up with me really pushing to perform and show more of my voice to the world.
'breath of life' is meant to be the transition between time in academia and my time as an official adult. whenever i'm stressed, upset, anxious, or sad, I simply take a breath.
I've been listening to this album for two years now, and I'm so grateful to it because it sparked my fascination with chaotic, loud, fast-paced music. The world will never convince me that this kind of music is "cringe", and I want to symbolize that with this purchase. dextar7
