Night OClock
You’re a detective who came to a mansion to solve a murder.
But during the investigation, you were poisoned — with only one minute left to live.
Each time you die, time resets. The mansion returns to its original state… but your memories and items remain.
Using this cursed loop to your advantage, can you solve the puzzles the victim left behind and uncover the truth before time runs out?

Very fun, and I love the atmosphere!
I'm very thankful it wasn't! You made such a great world to run around in, puzzles that made sense but just needed to be completed quickly, and a little sense of humor. I see why Mark ranked it as a favorite!! Congrats!
Thank you so much for your words and your video!! I love watching people playing my game :)
I'm glad you enjoyed it! And by the way, your channel is awesome! I wish you the best ;)
Thank you so much for the video!!
I'm glad you liked it :)
I wish you the best
cool ending
Thank you! :)
i didnt understand what to do in the rooms
Which ones?
**SPOILER ALERT**
In the library, you must climb up to memorize a code that you need to use on the garden.
On the laboratory, you must reveal the door code. To do that, you must enable the pipes through the right room.
On the clock room, you must repair the clock.
i dont know how to climb the library
You must move the box to the left library, then, start climbing while following the light from the lamps until you can clearly see the code :)
So creative
Thank you! :)
Insanely cool game man!! The amount of polish is just crazy I can't believe you made it in 4 days! Well done :)
Thank you so much!! I'm so happy to hear that lots of people enjoyed playing it <3
I loved your game, good design. And really impressive that you only had limited amount of time to do it.
Thank you!! I worked on it until the last second :)
Clever game
Thanks! ;)
how do i jump and clime
Move: WASD
Run: WASD + LeftShift
Jump: Spacebar
Climb: Hold Spacebar + WASD being close to any reachable platform
*You must climb up the middle drawers at the end of the room when the climb tutorial pops up
Push: Hold LeftClick + WASD being close to a wooden crate
It is explained during the game. However, the game is not meant to be played on mobile devices, maybe that's your problem. You need a keyboard and mouse.
Contact me if you have any other problems :)
Thanks for trying the game! I hope you enjoy it <3
oh hell yeah I loved this!!!! audibly gasped at the ending :0
it was pretty simple but I had fun figuring out the little puzzles.
I'm happy to know about that gasp :)
Thank you for playing it!!
Very neat little game! I'm a huge sucker for time loop games/movies, so I'm adding my voice to the chorus who wants more like this. I kind of wish that there was more puzzle-solving to do, but I understand that's likely a result of the small amount of dev time for the jam.
Thank you!
The game was actually meant to last longer. The red light room was originally designed to be another puzzle, but there was no way of finishing the original game length on time, so I had to discard some of them.
Anyways, I'm happy with the results and I'm really glad you liked it :)
Thanks for the review <3
I loved this beautiful nugget of atmosphere as well. As I got to the end I was thinking that the only thing missing was having agency during the ending, something like the ending of Shadow of the Colossus, where the conclusion is inevitable but you have to play it out. That your game evoked those thoughts from me is some of the highest praise I can offer.
As I was approaching the ending, I couldn’t decide which I thought was more likely, Again, just a 10/10 for a game jam game.
Spoiler
whether I was the victim or the murderer.Thank you! That's actually a better idea than mine. Let the player play the ending too, instead of just narrating it.
Night O'Clock is a game that is extremely impressive in terms of graphics for a game that was only made in 96 hours. The designs are unique and lively and the only thing I found to need a bit more TLC was the animations, but that didn't really draw away from the game that much.
The gameplay is very simple, but is the beginnings of something that could be expanded upon a LOT. Maybe add checkpoints, could be like those found in Big Tower Tiny Square where crossing the checkpoint activates it, giving the player some form of agency over where they spawn? Or perhaps add some more advanced puzzles that the player can't just guess what the code for something is to complete the game through guesswork, which would enhance the feel of being a detective? But importantly, the game's basis gives way to all these possibilities, making it an extremely solid start for a game design on top being a well crafted game visually already.
Thank you so much for your review!!
I considered a lot of the things that you mentioned during the development, specially the checkpoints, but I ran out of time before having the chance of doing anything.
I would love to keep exploring this idea. And I would also like to improve that feeling of being a detective.
I'm happy to hear that you enjoyed the game. Thanks for your kind words :)
This was excellent for its scope. Very clever, self contained, and polished! The constraint of the 60s loop also has a lot more to explore.
Thanks! I really want to keep exploring this concept :)
Really nice idea. Would love for this to be something you continue. Maybe do some time forwards to mix up the time loop.
Thank you!
I've been thinking about continuing this game in the future. With a longer story, more mechanics... or even improving the artstyle!
I'm really glad you enjoyed it, thanks for the comment :)
I really think you should. Keep the art the same style you have a good design mechanic. Good luck can't wait for more.
