about

In 1995, the first sampler arrived at the Ceebro camp, and suddenly, what had been a monthly hobby turned into a weekly ritual.
Homeless Beats 1995 is a beat mixtape release that dives into this phase and compiles some of our earliest music-making moments.
The album strongly echoes the underground hip-hop sound of the time, expressed in the audio format available to us back then.

HB95 dives into the early production sound of RPK (then known as Esaar) and how it evolved alongside the experiments of Ceebrolistics.
In addition to instrumentals, the album captures the vibe of the era through freestyle raps, spontaneous cassette recordings,
and moments of genuine impromptu goof from those early sessions.

Back in 1995, music was made in long sessions in Roope’s room in Merirastila. Nights stretched into mornings,
fueled by Afri-Cola, and the chaos eventually turned into music. Around the same time, a tight-knit crew started forming
at the Merirastila youth center—a crew that would eventually become Murmurecordings.
The HB95 album artwork takes you right back to that moment in time, with Tims boots and phat black jackets in full effect.
