About Jaden Michaels

With her soulful voice, Jaden Michaels has established herself as a country singer with a knack for rousing performances. But her pop bona fides go far beyond twang. Born Brittany Lynn Scriven in Iowa in 1990, Michaels earned a publishing deal in L.A. at the age of 19. She’s written hyper-catchy bops for Carly Rae Jepsen and a triple-platinum smash for Japanese artist Namie Amuro; featured on EDM bangers; and sung on a Demi Lovato record. In 2017, she dropped her debut country single, “Preach”, a clever and explosive kiss-off to a lying former lover. In the years since, Michaels has displayed the breadth of her songwriting talent within the genre, embracing piano-driven pop (2018’s “Behave”), soaring orchestral arrangements (2020’s “Superwoman”) and the swell of pedal steel and synth together (2021’s “Close to You”), all adorned with her trademark soul-baring lyricism.
