There has always been a debate among New Yorkers over what constitutes art and what doesn’t. The average New Yorker is a straight-up hypocrite. Word up. They’ll appreciate pieces and burners but criminalize tags and throw-ups, claiming it’s not art because of their aesthetic content; drippy tags on top of each other aren’t pretty. Fuck them.
