Painting a piano is much like painting furniture but the main thing you have to keep in mind is that you don’t want any paint to get onto the keys or in the inside. It’s time consuming, but we taped off everything really well and then sprayed the paint with our air sprayer. We painted this piano a Sherman William’s color, Tricorn Black, lightly distressed it, and sprayed it with a protective clear coat. We also built a new music sheet holder so it felt more up to date.
