Zhou Dynasty (1046-256 BC) is a federation with one nation multi-systems which eventually led to centuries of wars and the disintegration of China until First Emperor Qi reunited the land under a centralised government.

The Zhou (Jou) dynasty was the longest dynasty, lasting almost 8 centuries. They existed at the same time as the Shang, but they overthrew the Shang Dynasty around 1050 BCE. The Zhou continued developing the innovations of the Shang including the use of bronze and Chinese writing, and they came up with some of their own innovations, like coins and chopsticks.

Qin Shi Huang - was the founder of the Qin dynasty and was the first emperor of a unified China. He was born Ying Zheng or Zhao Zheng, a prince of the state of Qin. He became Zheng, the King of Qin when he was thirteen, then China's first emperor when he was 38 after the Qin had conquered all of the other Warring States and unified all of China in 221 BC. Rather than maintain the title of "king" borne by the previous Shang and Zhou rulers, he ruled as the First Emperor of the Qin dynasty.
