There’s a lot to talk about in regards to Dr. Stone, but I’ll keep this review short and simple. Here’s a few things that I want to note:

- Story/Characters: Basically, the this show revolves around Senku starting mankind from scratch. He’s a pretty lovable character with his limitless confidence and pride. He’s not some overleveled isekai protagonist that has everything go his way. The direction of the show can vary from his proud accomplishments or his critical mistakes. I’ll admit that Senku can feel too smart for the convenience of the story, but I mean hey he’s the protag. The side characters who get involved ...

Interesting characters, original history, extremely beautiful art, BUT misused and badly executed script.

Reasons:

Because it is a story that takes place in the past and the protagonist is extremely intelligent, it creates from scratch the current technologies, so far so good, it is interesting, but the script pushes this idea to the limit making each chapter (manga) and each episode (anime) boring with each new discovery/ideia in all, exactly, all episodes.

It looks like they are pushing the main arch away, because of that it causes spaces between mini-archs and main arch.

Although they introduce new characters, they give a lot of importance to it and they waste ...

Mod Edit: This review was originally posted for Dr. Stone: 4D Science (164276) and has subsequently been merged into Dr. Stone (103897).

Dr. Stone returns for a short story about science and grief, continuing themes and threads from the original manga. I liked this three chapter story, but at the same time I felt a little cheated by it and question what its purpose was besides some spoilers from the first chapter. I wouldn't call it a bad addition to the canon, but one that just leaves me with questions about writing purpose. That said, it was nice to see everyone again and get another glimpse ...

This review will contain spoilers

This shonen manga is definitely unique by presenting the idea of science against brawls;
If you major in science and take thing quite SERIOUSLY the things Senkuu does are ridiculous and it might trigger you.

This manga has a lot of potentials, I personally like the post-apocalyptic setting and I hope we get to explore more than just the village, characters are average nothing exceptional, the story is predictable until they arrive at the village and we get to meet new characters.

I like the art, the background is drawn with careful substance but Boichi draws his female characters with a slight lack ...

read on as senku uses the power of science to save the world. that's the premise anyway, and so long as you don't ask too many questions and hold on to that dreaded suspension of belief you're in for a pretty good albeit forgetful time.

this manga is really more of a showcase on the progression of science and technology, how it advances civilisations and how we determine it's purpose. and then it finds a way to expertly meld that in with the typical shonen themes of perseverance, determination, courage etc

that being said, it does have it's flaws. the artwork is rough in a couple of ...

I read most of this manga weekly. I liked it for awhile at the beginning, but it just got boring over time. And eventually I stopped reading. I think the fact that the manga has exposition dumps when they're explaining the science-shit they're about to do makes it more decisive than it otherwise would be; when you're not enjoying Dr Stone as much as you used to, a long explanation of their newest contrived plan is a pretty attractive jumping off point!

I'm gonna give it a 6 because I read it for quite awhile despite not liking it. If I'd dropped it sooner, my rating ...

Dr. Stone is a manga unlike any other. It has been successful in finally providing unity between science and fan. If you are a science this manga is for you; if you aren't, this manga is still for you. Its art is fantastic, A 10/10; The storyline is really gripping and it manages to maintain its zeal until the end. The character are goddamn amazing with each having a distinct personality and not the characters feel left behind; every character has his/her moment and this just shows the how brilliant the mangaka is. I seriously believe that is a must read for anyone and everyone. ...
