It's a one-shot manga about some astronaut guy who lands on a planet inhabited by intelligent animal-like people, which proceed to study him like we would study an alien. The manga is written from some feline spokesperson thing's point of view, and there's actual care put into imagining how animals with intelligence and knowledge of (fictitious) natural science would react to seeing a human for the first time. That's one valuable exercise to partake in whenever you risk forgetting how remarkable humans are when compared to other animals. But no, wait, that's played for gags. in the absurdity of it. That too is mostly played for gags. You saw the fan service scene of the animals being petted coming from a light year away. You might dig that one a little too much if you're a furry, but if you're like the rest of us, no big deal: it also sets up for a later gag. And while we're at it, the whole manga can be seen as a setup for a single line written by the astronaut in a letter directed to furrykind (I'm sorry, I'm told the more rigorous of you would rather I called it "kemonokind")... but let's not spoil it. The gags are surprisingly effective, and it's hard not to recommend this manga considering it's so short and, perhaps precisely because it plays on such an odd gimmick, more refreshing than all the less inspired romcom and fantasy ooze that gets pumped out every month. And if you do regret reading it, I'm sure it will be one of your smaller regrets.
