Since the last review was back in 2017, I wanted to give a more updated take on this manga. The previous review gave it an 8, which I think was generous, so I’ll dive into my own thoughts and takeaways.
It’s a shame this story doesn’t have a larger fanbase because it’s genuinely cute and really captures the essence of romance from the time it was published. It’s short, simple, and easy to read. The kind of manga you can finish quickly but still enjoy..! That said, I wouldn’t go so far as to call it unforgettable for fans of shoujo or romance. Some of the

characters are a bit over the top, but the plot itself is straightforward and sweet without feeling excessive.
One thing I particularly appreciated was that it wasn’t predictable. The second female lead, for example, completely surprised me as a character type, and I loved that she shared the same name as the main female character. It must’ve been chaos for the male lead to be falling for two Harukas!
My main criticism is with the female lead, Haruka. She’s undeniably adorable and kind, which suits her age of 15, but she’s also incredibly naïve and a little selfish toward the male lead. She doesn’t seem fully aware of how her actions affect him, and at times it felt like she was pushing herself onto him despite his obvious internal struggles and real-life hardships.
Overall, I’d rate this manga a solid seven at best. If you’re looking for a quick read with sweet characters and a happy ending, this is a lovely choice.
