Snowflakes...

Good morning everyone!

A new challenge starts today over at Try it on Tuesday and this time we want to see Snowflakes on your project!

I made a gift tag and card using Paper Smooches Swanky Snowdudes stamp set. They are colored with Copics and I added a little detailing with a white Posca Pen. The backgrounds were created by using a smooshing technique with acetate, Mermaid Lagoon and Cracked Pistachio DO inks.
Once dry I mixed a very small about of Mermaid Lagoon ink & modeling paste and applied it through Newton's Nook Snowfall stencil. I really like how light in color the snowflakes turned out and below you can see the texture a little bit better :)
I used a Newton's Nook die for the trees, a MFT die for the 'joy' sentiment, a Memory Box die for the landscape and TH dies for the snowflakes & tag and that's about it!

Now head on over to the main challenge blog to check out the rest of my teammates beautiful creations!

Thanks so much for stopping by and for the comments you leave!

Mini Christmas Tags

Good morning everyone!

Today starts a new challenge at Sparkles Monthly and the theme is...
Make it Small
So we want to see: Inchies, ATCs, Bookmarks, Gift Card Holders, Gift Tags and so on... as long as it is SMALL :)
I made some cute little gift tags and I used mostly Tim Holtz products: Christmas Minis dies, tag die, Christmas/Noel paper pad and classic kraft cardstock. The snowman paper is from The Paper Studio and I used a Spellbinders die for the scalloped circle. To finish them up I added twine and a small strip of matching paper inside of each tag and that's about it!

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful week!

Eat-Drink BE Merry

Good morning everyone... Happy New Year!
Wishing you all the very best for a safe and healthy 2021!

Today is the start of a new challenge at Sparkles Christmas and this month the theme is... Christmas/Holiday Treats.
I made a little gift bag & card and they feature some very cute ephemera pieces and papers from Pebbles- the Merry Merry collection. I used Lawn Fawn dies for the bag and Zig Zag rectangle, Spellbinder and Sizzix dies for circles and the sentiment on the card is a very old stamp from Stampabilities.

******************************************************
I needed a few more bags for gift cards so here's a picture of them... they are made with the same paper collection and were so easy to make because everything coordinates so well even the tiny tags! :)
Well, that's it for today- thanks so much for stopping by and don't forget to pop on over to the main challenge blog to check out the rest of the teams beautiful cards.

Good morning everyone!

Today is the start of a new challenge at Sparkles Christmas and this month we want to see Anything But a Card.
I decided to make a couple tags- AND they were so quick and easy to make because the papers and puffy stickers are from an old Simon Says Stamp Card kit! I'm not a puffy sticker kind of gal but these were perfect for tags! I used a Tim Holtz die for the tags, the little trees were cut with a Cuttlebug die and the twine & seam binding are from my stash.

Now head on over to the main challenge blog and check out the beautiful creations by the other team members!

Kaleidoscope Shrink Plastic Earrings...

Good morning everyone!

Today starts a new challenge at Back to Basics and Beyond and this time we would like you to create a card or project with Shrink Plastic

I've only used shrink plastic one other time so I wasn't sure what I was going to do but after looking online I decided to make a pair of fun earrings! I cut a couple of circles out of the plastic, punched a small hole in each for the jump ring and then stamped them with the awesome Kaleidoscope background stamp from Simon Says Stamp.
I also made a card with the same background stamp... the painted 'thanks' die is from Simon Says Stamp and the Fishtail banner is from My Favorite Things.
Here's a close up of the earrings... I haven't  made any jewelry in such a long time and felt a bit rusty especially with the wire wrapping but I think overall they turned out pretty cute!

Reindeer Games...

Good morning everyone!

I wanted to pop in today and share my last Christmas card of the year... I made several cards similar to this one for all of my dog-loving family members and friends! :)
It features a sweet puppy image from Bugaboo Stamps and the papers are from Carta Bella. I used My Favorite Things dies for the rounded stitch rectangle, pierced fishtail flags and pierced rectangle. The floral background panel was cut with an Avery Elle stitched die and to finish it up I added some red sequins.

And since I won't post again until after Christmas I wanted to show you the little gift card holders/bags that I made for my nieces!
I cut the bags out of kraft cardstock using a Lawn Fawn die... the papers, ephemera and mini tags are from Pebbles- the Merry Merry collection. The 'joy' die cut is from MFT, the confetti/sequins and twine are from my stash and there you have it... three quick and easy gift bags!

I stamped a little present on the tags, stamped and paper pieced the Christmas tree and stamped the 'Christmas Wishes' Sentiment. For the bag on the right- I used a sentiment and small image from the Doodlebug papers, punched out a few snowflakes and then added blue gems to both of them and there you have it... two quick and fun gift bags! :)

I made them using several items out of the Simon Says Stamp December card kit!! Oh what a fun kit... it included an adorable stamp set, beautiful papers, self adhesive sequins and so much more! :)
I cut the gift bags out of Kraft CS using a Sizzix Bigz die and then I stamped snowflakes all over them with VersaMark ink and a Inkadinkado stamp. The images were stamped with Memento Black ink, colored with Copics and fussy cut out, the tags were cut with a Cuttlebug die.
For this gift bag I just used some of the Pinkfresh Studio Puffs Stickers and papers that were included in the kit... it can't get any easier than that!

My first Door Hanger

Happy Friday everyone!

It's Alphabet Challenge time and today's letter is... X for X-periment! We would like you to try a new technique or use materials you've never used before. Well, I've never altered a door hanger before or have I ever used card making materials on wood so I thought I would give it a try :)

I started with a couple coats of cream acrylic paint, after that dried I added a thin layer of One Step Crackle glaze. I applied some texture paste through the Tim Holtz Burlap stencil, after that dried, I sponged the entire hanger with Vintage Photo DI. I wanted a little shine and sparkle so I sprayed it with Krylon Clear gloss and while that was still wet, I added a touch of glamour dust.
Here's a closer look at the crackle effect, texture paste and some of the sparkle.
I stamped one of my favorite poems/verses "Footprints In The Sand" (stamp is from Inkadinkado) with Memento Rich Cocoa and attached it to a Romantic Rectangle nestie. I used the Rose Creations nesties for the flowers, added a coat of Krylon clear gloss and glamour dust to them also. The butterflies were cut with my new Tim Holtz dies and embossed with Shabby White Frantage. The gems, wooden house & hand dyed seam binding are all from my stash... and there you have it- my first altered door hanger!

CAS Gift Card Holders

Good morning everyone!
I wanted to pop in today and share a couple of CAS gift card holders that I made
for my nieces!

To create the gift card holder part I used my Mini Folder Die from Lifestyle Crafts. The adorable little bear & bunny are from LOTV and the holly in the corner is from Stampabilities. I used Copics for the coloring and MFT Stitched circles dies to cut everything out. The backgrounds were embossed with the CB Snowflake folder and I used a Recollections punch for the snowflakes and finished them off with a small white pearl.
Here's a picture of the very simple inside:
The notebook page die is included in the set- perfect for a short Christmas message and the Heart Stings die is from Penny Black.
These were so fun and easy to make and I love how they turned out... I'm sure my nieces will love them too! :)
