MPQ Men's Shirts Project

So this weekend I stitched up the mostly cut out block pieces, except for the slab four. YEAH!!!!  That means this next weekend I can hopefully plan out the 36 blocks into three quilt tops, then sash and border them.  Then hopefully pass them onto someone to sandwich, quilt and bind them for my MPQ donation from the gifted samples of men's shirts. 😍🤗👍

Incorporated some pockets.

Sewing the last block!

Incorporated two shirt labels.

Back in the Saddle!

Catchup on CQA #52blocks52weeks project.  I've collected a number of 150th Canada fabrics plus some newer fabrics lately for my own Canadian quilt - and how appropriate that CQA is offering this project!  Now to wait for Tuesday for the next installment!  Thank you to those organizing this project and the well planned instructions to ensure such near perfect finished sizing!  Makes this project so much fun!

I've finally caught up and now to wait for Tuesday and the next installment!  Thank you to those organizing this project and the well planned instructions to ensure such near perfect finished sizings!  Makes this project so much more fun!  Well except for the diamond block which I had to fuss with because of my one piece centre!  And as yet not sure what layout I'll use except the blocks won't be in sequential order as I'm thinking of more balance of colour etc.

And today I finished off four 9 patch blocks to go with the other days 6 blocks for the Carolina Hurricane Quilt Project from My Carolina Home that my friend Susan is collecting and sewing up quilts for.  So Tuesday I'll get them into the mail too!  WOW!  Guess I'm feeling lots better if I'm getting back into my quilting saddle again.

Johnny n Kim's Wedding

At Kimberly Quinn and Johnny Rolland wedding.  Sorry no ceremony pictures.  It would have been pointless as four photographers blocked the view most of the time.  And about 5 minutes after the vows were sealed it started to rain so inside we came!

I'm stuffed and near bursting my dress seams!!!  All very tasty and delicious!  And some after dinner fun before speeches and dancing.

Now back to the serious part!

Now the yummy part - but is there room!

Just before leaving Lise asked for pictures of Linda Lefebvre Mullen and me as last year  during her battle with cancer we both made together a pink breast cancer wall hanging for her.  Now she met me and the circle is complete!

Then just down the street on the way home I saw this steeple peaking over the trees and drove around for this St Charles Catholic Church picture.

Now home relaxing and even after an hour of dancing (which I'll pay for tomorrow) my hair is still in curls!
