Catchup - July 22nd-30th

July 22nd

My baby is getting an oil change and some items checked out! Awesome service here!!!

UPDATE: Reported drive shaft very loud, probably road noise I heard on Dauphin/Brandon trip and slight hesitation on start driving and passing pickup. So after hearing possible $3,500 repair bill I opted to have it removed (hardware stored) to hopefully prevent road issues for next month's trip. I can see how the winter goes and if I miss 4WD then can decide to repair and hopefully keep this baby for years to come!!!

July 25th

It was way TOO HOT out here for a walk but I picked Edna up and out we went. I love the Sturgeon Creek Pathway as it has benches when I need a rest. Actually did very well and walked past a bench, so did double the distance before aching. The leaves are turning and falling!

We went to Boston Pizza and had a luncheon pizza and garden salad split between us! Yummy! Now The Cake from Edna's birthday with friends gathering!!!

July 29th

For my birthday, my niece gave me the one on the left in 2023 that she made and this year my friend Leanne from Sydney Australia gave me this one. Thank you ladies! ❤️

July 30th

I've taken a few days of 'need my rest' and ran some errands etc lately. In the mean time Sylvia had quiet time too and set a couple puzzles.

Today we went for supper then helped her sort pieces and start another puzzle.

Catchup - June 30th-July 4th

June 30th

Yeppers my BD celebration continued today yet too!!! I got Cindy and Janice together for supper at Fionn McCools and it was lovely chatting and catching up. Also Janice had given me these lovely dragonfly earrings recently (they are packed for my trip) and Cindy this bottle of Chardonnay! Thank you girls BUT that was not my intentions!!! Hopefully we'll meet again at Pineridge Hollow after my holidays!!!

Let's hope everyone has a wonderful Happy Canada Day!!!

July 1st

Yes it is a Happy Canada Day!

First I did my exercises plus the ice/heat treatment Angela said helped end her sciatic (Thank You, it's worth a try). Then over to Edna's to help with a minor job and then out for a walk on Sturgeon Creek Pathway and amazingly walked past the usual rest stops onto the next one - so twice as far between stops!

Now Sunday I walked 1.88 km with less aches than usual maybe 1 to 1.5 km and horrible hip pain. WELL today it was 2.08 km and I rested as aches started, no bad pain! WOW!!! Awesome!!! Then picked up Sylvia for a Boston Pizza chicken wings n salad n sweet fries supper and visit! Now home relaxing!

I've one week before I go West, I pray this slight relief continues and increases my strength!

July 2nd

Massage heaven!!! Then Olive Garden lunch with Edna and a few errands.

Once home I cleared out my 'special' tshirts, heck haven't worn these for mega years and took up a whole shelf, from various events and retreats from 1997 to 2006. Some too worn to donate so 6 are in the bag for mechanics rags and 8 are for recycling. But first I needed to get myself a picture before letting them go!!! Here goes!!! Three I didn't bother with at all, too soiled.

From retreats in Alberta, 2002, 2003, 2005 from Western Retreat and 2006 Western Retreat n Big Sky Retreat.

First 4 are from work events and last one a Manitoba Camera Club attendance at Camera Canada College in Moncton, NB.

July 3rd

Another energetic day! Had an appointment am, picked up mega recycling from Sylvia, then lunch with her at Southdale Family Village Restaurant. Then off to Centre Flavie @ 301 Archibald to drop off both our donations. Afterwards we continued to Aunt Monica's Attic for crafty stuff drop off then treating ourselves at The Mission and finally McDs for ice cream.

After a short rest I walked to the Winnipeg Goldeyes Stadium to join the Liens' family for a ball game! Haven't been to one in ages!!!

Happy 90th Birthday Harold! Sorry I missed the billboard announcement!

Thank you to the Liens' family for including me in your family celebration. The box views are awesome and all the food and refreshments yummy!!!

Ohhhh what a lovely evening!

Look at these clouds!

I've never seen such a dark jet trail! If this is what it was tonight about 9:06pm?

Goldie and Goldette - aren't they cute!!!

Great grandson with Goldie!!!

Great granddaughter with Goldette!!!

WOW!!!

And thank you Monika and Jeff for the ride home! Muchly appreciated! 💞

Tomorrow is the actual party for Harold!

July 4th

To my American friends, here and there!

Today I again walked, this time to the Inn at the Forks for a birthday luncheon with Harold and Joan and family!!! Thank you very much for the invite and meeting family too! Harold hope you get to enjoy all the rest that is planned!!!

Great grandson singing Happy Birthday to Harold!!!

He did very well!!!

Great granddaughter just shy of one year!

So today I walked 2.95 km in two separate walks with the luncheon in between. It was tough going home and had to be creative in finding rest stops, but topped it off with a Tall Grass Prairie cinnamon bun and Tim's iced coffee. Relaxing feet up now!
