"Aquatikans" : a Bleep & Bass tour de force !

If you’re into 90’ Bleep techno, Detroit influences and Electronica à la Artificial Intelligence, this 12 tracks album (the first on n9!) will send you back straight into sonic heaven.

Those of you who spent time on Discogs forums (like us!) certainly know Erik "Bunkerheadz" form the Oldschool Lovers forum : he has always been the driving force behind it, and since early 2000, he made it a place where fans can cross path with Joey Beltram, Frankie Bones and many more, setting in motion the Oldschool Techno revival that's gets stronger everyday.

But Bunkerheadz was much more than that : with Martijn - a friend for 30 years! - they’ve been tweaking knobs in their studio since the mid-nineties. With their impeccable taste and insatiable curiosity for music since the 80’ (from Hip Hop and Electro, Synth Wave, Italo Disco, Hi-NRG and of course, House and Techno), they were already featured in the comeback compilation of UK famous early 90’ label Ozone Records. Now is the time for the next step.

Under a beautiful cover by Grafiek • Guc, their first LP, mysteriously named « Aquatikans », offers 12 carefully produced tracks, blending influences in a carefully crafted string of moody atmospheres, deep basslines, catchy bleeps and mysterious magical melodies.

We couldn’t dream of a better way to start n9 into releasing long-playing musical efforts !
