THE CORN MARKET . The arrival-of Wheat from the northern wheat districts In Eng land during : the last week wns moderatel y large , but by land carried samples the show of this article in _Mark-lane for sale from the metropolitan and from the home counties was smaller than _wasgeneraUy expected . Still , / however , the demand was exceedingly heavy , and a considerable part of the supply remained unsold when the dates of the Corn Exchange were closed in the after part of the dav a _gainst the transactions of further business , althou"li a decline of 2 s . per quarter on the finest quality , and of 3 s . to 4 s . per quarter on inferior descriptions , occurred in the value of the small quantity , which was disposed of since the last market day .
