A refreshing surprise. This album has the ferocity that black metal is known for, but has a little bit of the melodic and dungeon synth aspect of it sprinkled in as well. Musically, this album reminds me of Hrad, Caladan Brood, and Stormruler. The Tolkien lyrical themes are also really neat.
