Harping explores arpeggio chord figures in permutation and other splashes of color in the vibraphone while linear counter lines run through the sax. Initially composed as a percussion duo, the addition of saxophone is decorative but keenly important to the songs effect. Underneath the melodic components, drummer Josh Plath includes generally agreeable rhythmic contributions that accentuate the repetitive phrases. Harping was composed in McCarren and Washington Square Park where it was discovered accidentally by a team at HBO for inclusion in the first episode of the third season of "And Just Like That".
In the B section, special vibraphone technique includes exacting use of the tremolo flaps that are normally run by motors. In post production we have chosen to pan this effect with variety as to exacerbate its intensity for the listener.
A demo version of this track is featured on season three, episode one of HBO/ MAX's "And Just Like That" (the spinoff of "Sex and the City").
