kasi is any number of types of plants. Size doesn't matter: kasi can refer to the biggest tallest trees and the smallest weeds. Anything largely in the category of "plant" is a kasi.
There's some controversy about fungi, though. many believe them to be within kasi's semantic space, while others disagree entirely and use a new word, "soko" (which is relatively commonplace). Some people may see fungus as a fully distinct category from plants, and therefore using one word for both doesn't make sense to them. Others may categorize them together, and prefer to use kasi for both. Also, for the fruiting body of fungus, i.e. mushrooms, many speakers use kili as a way of avoiding using kasi to refer to fungus.
