Curaçao has some of the best beaches in the Caribbean. During our time on the island, we were able to spend time at several of them. We didn’t have time to visit all of the beaches on our list, but we definitely feel like we got to the best ones.
The magical Cocora Valley is the home of Colombia’s national tree and symbol, the wax palm. This tall endangered palm dots the landscape of this extension to Los Nevados National Park, which is a popular day trip from nearby Salento.
Santa Cruz and Savaneta are two districts making up the central part of Aruba. They feature some popular natural and historic attractions.
Noord is the northernmost district of Aruba. It’s the tourist zone and where you’ll find the biggest resorts and some of the best restaurants. There are also lots of attractions in the area. I’ll list them here starting from the north and working my way south.
The city of Armenia is the capital of the Quindío department and part of the UNESCO World Heritage listed Coffee Cultural Landscape of Colombia.
Tayrona National Park (Parque Nacional Natural Tayrona) is one of the most beautiful natural areas in Colombia. It sits just outside of Santa Marta.
Buritaca is a beautiful natural place near Tayrona National Park in Colombia where a pristine river meets the Caribbean sea.
While in Mompox, we decided to take an ecological cruise down the Magdalena River to the Ciénaga de Pijiño, a large swamp.
