Profile Picture

Hey, I'm raf

Sailor, political scientist, academic, FOSS contributor, and digital artist. I'm passionate about operating systems, open-source software, and system administration.

Background

I've been programming since 2018, entering the world of Linux, programming, and OSS through a lengthy misadventure involving a Linux VPS, a large-scale Minecraft server, and an imminent crisis.

Currently, I'm focusing on backend applications, application security, and system administration. I'm also interested in the role of information system and data integrity/privacy within the policymaking process in contemporary politics, which I've decided to base my PhD thesis on.

I take part in the Hyprland community, playing an active role in community management and acting as a supporting developer for Nix.
