February 24 marks four years since Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Four years of attacks on homes, hospitals, schools, and energy infrastructure. Four years of Ukrainians showing the world what courage looks like.

Starting this week, communities across the U.S. are coming together to say: we haven't forgotten!

Nova Ukraine, alongside partners and allies who stand with Ukraine, will be part of this nationwide movement all weekend.

🔹 Saturday, Feb 21 — Washington, D.C. Lincoln Memorial.
🔹 Sunday, Feb 22 — San Francisco Harry Bridges Plaza.

Not in D.C. or San Francisco? Rallies are happening in cities all over the country. Find yours: uaworldmap.ukrainianworldcongress.org/en.

Bring your flags. Bring your voice. Show up for Ukraine.

“Every month I watch children grow and change. I see their joy. I listen to them, and I hear how they describe the progress they notice in the centers.”
— Iryna Moriak, Nova Ukraine Project Manager in Ukraine

When Iryna visited Nova Ukraine’s after-school learning center, Змістовно, in Zaporizhzhia, she saw what these spaces make possible for children growing up during war, a place where they can learn, explore their interests, connect with peers, and spend time in an environment designed around their needs.

Across Ukraine, the war continues to disrupt education and place a serious emotional strain on families, which is why spaces like Zmistovno matter. They provide stability and consistent support at a time when childhood is often disrupted. With support from the Howard G. Buffett Foundation, Nova Ukraine continues this work so children can keep learning.

Four years into the war, attacks are intensifying. In just the first month of 2026, Russia carried out 200+ strikes on Ukraine’s energy sector, leaving millions without power and putting repair crews at risk every day.

Hospitals are under extreme strain. Food shortages are rising. Over 19,000 children remain missing. The humanitarian need continues to grow.

And yet — because of you — hope remains.

The Mobile Invincibility Point is part of daily life for families in Kharkiv whose homes still have no heating.

With support from Nova Ukraine, Vsi Poruch set up this mobile invincibility point in a residential area where people have nowhere to go to keep warm. Donated by a Finnish charity and delivered to Kharkiv by Nova Ukraine, the bus is powered by generators and offers heat, electricity, seating, lighting, and a small kitchen. It is now part of Nova Ukraine's Nova Stash emergency response project, which provides fuel and essential supplies to people impacted by the war.

The bus has become a place people depend on for warmth and stability. As the bitter cold continues, it will drive to other communities across the Kharkiv region where power outages continue.

Even before the war, Olexander was always in motion. He used to cycle long distances and trained for endurance races.

He was wounded while defending Ukraine and faces a long road to recovery with a disability. Standard rehabilitation has helped, but hasn’t replaced his need for constant movement.

That’s where Brazilian jiu-jitsu comes in. With the support of Nova Ukraine, Olexander is moving once again at TMS HUB in Mykolaiv, a Brazilian jiu-jitsu rehabilitation training center for veterans. This training helps wounded veterans like Olexander rebuild strength, confidence, and ease their return back to civilian life.

Check out the video to see how movement becomes Olexander’s way forward!

Last night, Ukrainian children affected by the war sat in a room on Capitol Hill and watched their lives reflected on screen.

They’re the main characters in Oscar-nominated director Evgeny Afinneevsky’s documentary, “Children in the Fire,” showcasing the brutal impact of Russia’s invasion on Ukrainian kids.

At the event attended by lawmakers, the children told their stories of air raids, displacement, imprisonment, torture, and lost childhoods.

It was hosted by Nova Ukraine, the Embassy of Ukraine in the USA / Посольство України в США, Rep. Michael McCaul (TX-10), and the Bring Kids Back UA.
