Who We Are
Nova Ukraine is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing humanitarian aid to the people of Ukraine and raising awareness about Ukraine in the United States and throughout the world. Thanks to your generous donations, we fund a variety of projects to help the people of Ukraine and to strengthen Ukraine’s democratic society. The Nova Ukraine team and volunteers have been working tirelessly to help those in need. We greatly appreciate the overwhelming support from the community. Our Impact So Far
Since 2014, Nova Ukraine has run a variety of successful humanitarian projects in Ukraine. Since 2022 to date, we have raised over $180 million and have helped over 12 million Ukrainians with an operating expense percentage in single digits.

The program combines in-person training, online case discussions, and practical learning with experienced psychologists and trauma therapists. Participants are strengthening their skills, building professional resilience, and learning how to better support both veterans and themselves.

The joint project is implemented with Marlog Caducei and the Volyn Regional Administration, with support from the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine.
By strengthening those who support others, we build stronger communities for veterans, their families, and Ukraine’s future.
Throughout the 2025–2026 school year, with support from Nova Ukraine, Svitlo School provided regular English practice through the Reading Buddies and First Steps in English programs.
The programs reached 420 students across Ukraine, including children in small towns, villages, and communities affected by the war. 90 older students became mentors, leading more than 1,500 reading sessions.
Younger students improved their English skills, confidence, and reading habits. Older students learned to lead, take responsibility, and support others.
And the reading continues this summer. The free online Summer Reading Club will continue bringing together students throughout August.
On one of the coldest days of the season, a wounded Ukrainian defender woke up after surgery and noticed a familiar drawing hanging beside his bed.
It was his son’s.
Months earlier, children attending summer camps supported through our EMPOWER pillar created drawings for Ukraine’s defenders. By an extraordinary coincidence, his son’s drawing found its way to the same stabilization point, and to his father at exactly the right moment.
Some connections cannot be planned.
Thank you to everyone who became part of this story. Since the beginning of the Russian full-scale invasion, Nova Ukraine has supported more than 14 million people across Ukraine, and each has a story to share..
Today, residents collect drinking water from filtration stations, including those installed by Nova Ukraine and its local partners.
The equipment they carry is pushed to its limits. Fire hoses are dragged through broken concrete, debris, and twisted metal. In regions facing repeated attacks, they wear out quickly and must be replaced constantly.
Responding to direct requests from Ukraine’s State Emergency Service, Nova Ukraine delivered 400 fire hoses to units in the Sumy, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, and Kherson regions.
By helping fill urgent equipment gaps, we strengthen the emergency response system people depend on to save lives and protect critical infrastructure.
We will continue working to equip Ukrainian rescuers with the tools they need to carry out their missions safely and effectively.
Since the launch of Nova Stash in 2024, we have built a reliable network of teams across the most affected regions who answer those calls. They work in coordination with first responders and local officials, while Nova Ukraine works with them to strengthen emergency preparedness.
We receive many photos and stories of heroic work from the ground. And while it is hard to gauge which emergency deserves more coverage, we want to share a few moments from just the past couple of months from Sumy and Zaporizhzhia to Mykolaiv and Kyiv.
