Eren Manış heeft hierop gereageerdEren Manış heeft hierop gereageerdAre ticketing software vendors turning into banks? Cash advances from ticketing vendors look like easy money. In reality, they are a golden cage. Sometimes, they even team up with a PSP (Payment Service Provider) to supply these loans. That changes the game, but the trap stays the same. Venues get a lump sum upfront, but the price is high. You get locked into multi year contracts. And what happens when the software doesn't deliver on its promises? You can't leave. You owe them, and the PSP is automatically skimming your daily revenue to pay it back. For years.. Crucially, who owns your visitor data in these arrangements? Is that data truly yours to leverage and control, or does the vendor gain undue access? Your visitors are the ones paying for these advances through higher "service fees" and inflated ticket prices. It damages visitor loyalty. Worse, if your venue or event underperforms, the debt spiral begins. I’ve seen venues forced to take a second and even a third advance just to pay off the first. I do believe this model is dangerous for the software companies too. Even with a PSP splitting the risk, they are acting like banks without banking safeguards. Yes you'll win new customers fast but the this industry is volatile. Festivals cancel due to heatwaves, ticket sales drop and venues go bankrupt. I've seen it happen so many times. Companies compete with big checkbooks, not product quality. Not the best UX. Not the fastest checkout. Not AI to help you embrace the future . Innovation simply stalls because service and development are replaced by financial engineering.. A healthy SaaS model thrives on product, vision, and innovation, not on loans. When ticketing becomes banking, everyone loses. The venue, the visitors and in the end the vendor as well. Is short-term cash worth losing control of your data and your future? It authenticates through the public API and stores JWTs securely in the OS keyring, so no direct database access is needed. Really useful for local DAG development and CI/CD automation, with full CLI parity coming under AIP-94. The more I think about it, the more it feels like Apache Airflow CTL is the right surface for agents to operate Airflow safely. API driven, JWT-authenticated, headless-friendly. Writing an agentic SKILL on top of it could unlock a lot, from automated Dag iteration to self-healing pipelines. Publicatie weergevenWe investigate the estimation of distributions with time-varying parameters. We introduce an algorithm that achieves the optimal negative likelihood performance against the true probability distribution. We achieve this optimum regret performance without any knowledge about the total change of the parameters of true distribution.

Online Anomaly Detection in case of Limited Feedback with Accurate Distribution Learning

Publicatie weergevenWe propose a high-performance algorithm for sequential anomaly detection. The proposed algorithm sequentially runs over data streams, accurately estimates the nominal distribution using exponential family and then declares an anomaly when the assigned likelihood of the current observation is less than a threshold.
