A hamsa is an object, a design or an art painting with a meaning. It is used in prayer and symbolises the evil eye. Many people get tattoo or tattoo design of this hand on their body. This is a very popular design for tattoo men, and hand tattoo for women whether it be a tattoo small or large. This tattoo meaning seems to speak to people far and wide and has become a symbol worn also as jewelry such as a necklace or bracelet. It is a mandala and now used the world over.
