I'm going to start this project off with this scrap piece of two by four that I have. I'm going to be painting it nutmeg brown and I'm just going to give this a couple of coats until it's fully painted and I'm using just an acrylic paint for this. Once I have that all painted I'm going to take my drill and drill two holes at the top. I did them right next to each other roughly I don't know half an inch apart. Once I had those all drilled I just touched them up with a little bit of the paint as well. Next I'm going to take this wood round and I'm going to paint this with a burgundy color. And I'm just going to do the front half and I went all the way around the whole thing all the way up to the edges. And I left like a teeny tiny bit of the wood but then I ended up changing it and doing the whole front of it because I just thought it looked better. Once I finished painting that, I drew two ovals for the eyes and then I'm going to fill each one of those in with some black paint. I'm not sure why the drawing of the ovals on the eyes didn't film but it just glitched out on that part. So now, I'm just going to fill in them with some black acrylic paint and just making sure that I keep them even while doing so. Once I have them all painted, I'm going to take the backside of my paint brush. Dip it in some white paint and put two dots on each one of the eyes. Next I'm going to glue that wood round onto the front of the face right underneath the eyes. And then I'm just going to take a paint brush with some black paint on it and just draw a little line coming out from the nose. And then I'm going to take some white paint. I'm going to do a line across the top of the nose. And I'm going to flip that over and then do a dot next to it. So now that I have the all done. I'm going to take two white berry picks. I'm going to put some glue in those holes that I drilled and I'm going to put those picks right inside. Then I'm going to take two ovals that I cut. Well they're more like teardrops out of some burlap. I'm going to paint a little bit of pink inside each one of them. And then I'm going to pinch the bottom and glue the bottoms. So I'm just going to take it. Pinch the bottom. With a little bit of glue in it. And hold it till it's dry and then I'm going to do the same thing on the other one and these are going to be his ears. So I'm just going to little bit of glue and then just pinch the bottom. Then I'm going to glue those right in front of those two berry picks that I'm using for the antlers. So just put a little bit of glue there and set those right in front of the antlers. Next I'm going to take a couple pieces of greenery that I had. Just trim off the excess here. I'm going to glue those right in the front of the antlers and the ears. Just kind of hold those in place for a second and look how cute this is turning out. Next I'm going to add this little bow that I had from some ribbon from Walmart. And the ribbon has deer and snowflakes on it. So I'm just going to put that right in the center. And then I did end up adding a red bell to the center of that. Again that didn't film either. Then I'm going to take that same ribbon and I'm going to wrap that around the bottom half of his body So just kind of lined up the design so that it was all even. Then I'm going to go all the way around the sides right to the back with that. So I'm just going to glue and then push it all the way to the back. And I'm going to do the same thing on the other side. And then I'm going to have those meet in the back. Trim off the excess here. And then glue it all down. And then finally I took a snowflake button and I'm going to add that right to the centre of that ribbon we put at the bottom right over that middle snowflake. Just glue that right in place and that is it. This project is finished. I think it turned out so super cute. I absolutely love it. It was super easy and I've been seeing people make these and I wanted to make my own. Thank you guys for watching. I hope you enjoyed this video. I hope it inspires you to make one and as always don't forget to spread the chaos.

Perfect now take your stocking, we're just going to cut through it you have to have good scissors for this because that Santa's stocking is thick. Now take this part of the stocking put it up like this and then just put it inside the boot. Now take a plunger and just put it in the back of the boot like so. Take your greenery and place it down into the boot you don't have to be a floral a florist to do this just have some confidence and remember it's to make the holidays brighter. Now just take these and put them down into the water and that's going to give it depth this one I'm going to put here so it hangs over just a little bit this one is a little big so don't be scared just break them apart put that right down in there that gives us some height. Every crafter's best friend. Don't forget the E6000. I should have done this earlier but I'm going to do it now. Careful not to get any water. Just put it on the wood underneath the heel of the boot and then we'll put some in the front as well. And let that dry. Take the twinkle lights. We're going to start here and then we're just going to hot glue them directly to the wood and then once that sits, it's okay if they stick up like this and they loop around. That's fine. Before I put the berries in, take your school glue and just paint the wood with the school glue So, just put the school glue all the way around the base of the boot. Just put the glue all the way around the wood. Go out to the edges. It's okay to have the raw edge of the of the wood showing. Now, we'll take our glitter snow and before the glue dries, just sprinkle it all over the glue Look at that. Beautiful. It's like a it's a winter wonderland. If you want to keep that on there like that so it doesn't get all over the floor. You could go over with a heavy with a heavy hairspray. Now let's put these in before we turn the lights on. Put these around. The plunger. Let's put this one in here in the front. Wow, that's looking sharp. Oh, it smells so good. I wish you could smell it. Before we turn on the lights let's put on the Santa hat put that right over the plunger Pull it right down over. Now, to hide the stick, just add in some more greenery. Just tuck right around it and underneath the hat. Or you could paint the stick green okay now take this from the bottom part of the stocking and just place it around the boot the buckle is in place we've got the snow the lights we're going to turn on in a second we've got the Santa boot fresh greenery mm smells so good the berries of course Santa's hat now all we need is to turn on the lights three two, one. Wow. I think that turned out great. What do you think? Let me know in the comments. I love reading the comments. The good ones especially. Oh gosh, this is gorgeous. Happy holidays.

Look how beautiful this one is and then put it over twig got the twinkle lights here and we're going to feed the twinkle lights through the top of the lantern they'll look like Christmas fireflies in there. When we turn it on then if you have a mirror platter you can bring that in and just sit this in it just like so, then take additional greenery and just kind of push it in and frame it and then for the final touch we'll take the bow and we'll just put it on to the top and don't forget the bells. We'll put the bells in so they overhang the front as well. Here and here. Let's turn on the lights. Wow. So easy and so pretty. Remember folks, if I can do this, you can do this.

Snowman Sign | By Creating | Hey, everybody. It's Janice with Creating Through Chaos and I'm going to start this project off with this five by five piece of unfinished wood that I got Michael's for a dollar. I'm going to paint around all of the edges and I painted the back and I left the center on the front without any paint. Once I had that all painted, I'm going to take these four different size wooden circles that I had and I just had these on hand. I'm not even sure where I got them and I'm going to paint all of these white also and all four of these circles are different sizes going from small to large. And I'm going to paint all those white. Once I have all of that painted I am going to take my scrapbook paper that I got from Hobby Lobby with snowflakes on it. I'm going to flip my sign over. Trace it out then cut it out and then I'm going to mod podge that scrapbook paper right onto the front of this sign. And this scrapbook paper is sort of like a rustic snowflakes. And I think they're really cute and it's going to go perfectly with this project. So once I have that cut out. I'm going to mod podge that right on. Make sure that that fits before I do. Add a good coat of Mod Podge and then lay that paper down. And I just smooth it out with my hands. Once that is all done I'm going to set that aside and let it dry. Once it was dry I sanded off the edges. And then I am going to take my little circles and I'm going to start painting my snowman faces on them. So for this one I just used the back of a paintbrush and did two eyes. I dipped them in the back of the paintbrush right into some black paint. Added his eyes. Then I'm going to use a little bit of rosy like pinkish reddish color for his cheeks. Just kind of dab that on. I'm going to take another paint brush and do a nice line for his mouth. And did line at the top. And then I'm going to repeat the same process on the other side and make sure that connects in the middle. And then I'm going to give him a little nose. I just took some burnt orange paint. The tiny brush and just kind of made like a carrot shape. It's going to drag the paint out. And there's one snowman. The next snowman I'm going to do pretty much the same thing but I'm going to make all of these snowman look different because we're going to paint all of these circles as snowman. So again I'm just using the back of a paintbrush to add his eyes. Then add the pink for the cheeks. Then I'm going to use the back of a paintbrush again to do his mouth and I'm just going to do some dots. And then once those were all done I am going to add some orange for his nose. And again I'm just going to kind of make these all a little bit different. Not too different. So this one I'm just going to kind of drag his nose in a downward position. I kind of like put it through the dots on his mouth and made it kind of long. And then for this one I decided to add some eyebrows. I didn't on the first one and I'm going to go back and add those. So I just did two little lines for that on that one. And then I did two lines for this on this one also. Now set that aside. I'm going to work on my next one. Again I'm just going to get my paint brush in some black paint. And this one kind of had a point so I'd kind of go around in a circle because it didn't hold paint as well as the other ones. Again some more pink for the cheeks. And I'm going to do a line for this one's mouth also and I just use a really thin lined paint brush First I'm going to add the nose and I did it going the other direction this time. And now I'm just going to kind of add like a squiggly line for this one's mouth. And like I said I wanted them all like a little bit different but not too different. No because I want them to be sort of the way that they should be. I ended up doing his eyebrows like that but I thought it made him look angry. So I ended up changing him. Next the final one is the big one. And again I'm just using the back of a paint brush to do the dots. For the eyes. You could use a stylus. You know whatever you have or if you have a good free hand you could just freehand the eyes. Again, adding some pink for the cheeks. And I also added eyebrows for this one. Imma kind of fix his eyes a little bit before I add the pink for the cheeks. Nice rosy cheeks. And how cute is that? And then I am going to do the same dots for the mouth. Again just using the back of a paint brush. It seems to be the best way. It makes great circles. And it's something you're already using anyway. And then I'm going to add a nice long nose for this one. And just kind of fill it in as I go. And then bring out that tail of the nose to a point a little bit making sure that it's all filled in and how cute are these next I'm going to take all them once they were dry it takes a bit to dry with the thick paint on the eyes and the mouths I'm going to take some antique wax and just go around the edges of each of the snowman I just used a very small amount just going around I kind of just spun it in my hand did around the edges making sure that I got I didn't do across the whole face. I didn't want them to be totally antique. I just wanted the edges to to kind of match the scrapbook paper and again I did the same thing on the sign. Just kind of go around. Getting the edges and the sides of the sign. I didn't want this to be a totally rustic project. It's more like a mixed media. I just wanted it to have a little bit of an aged look. And these applicators are perfect for this. So there's that all done. And all my little snowman heads all aged to perfection. Next I'm going to start gluing them on. So I started with the big one. I'm going to glue that in the top left hand corner. Then the midsized one. I'm going to add that diagonally underneath that one. Then the I guess I'll say small size one. I'm going to add that right on top of those other two. Then I'm going to add the teeny one right at the other side. And I just added a little dabs of glue on either side of those and then pop that down. As you can see they all kind of are cohesive but they all look different also. Next I'm going to take this little chipboard board saying that says one of a kind. I'm going to add that to the bottom. Then had a couple of rusty snowflakes. And I'm going to add one to right above that little sign that I just put on. And then I'm going to add another one up the top right hand corner. But it was really dark so I decided to take some white paint and add it to the top of the rust to give it an even more rustic look. And then I'm going to glue that to the top right hand corner. This little dab of glue. And pop that right there. And how stinking cute is this? I absolutely love the way this turned out. I did end up adding a couple of dots to two of the snowman's eyes. And Now I'm just going to take a paint brush and I loaded it up with white paint and I'm just going to speckle that all over the top of the whole project. I'm going to overdo it but I definitely wanted it to look like it was snowing. So I just added it all around. Not going overboard. You only want a slight amount of paint on your paintbrush. And then use your finger to spread it across. And the best way to do that is with a toothbrush. And I think this just turned out so stinking cute. How adorable is this. I hope you enjoyed this video. Thank you guys so much for watching. I hope it inspires you to make one and as always don't forget to spread the chaos.

27K views · 1.1K reactions | Farmhouse Light Up Christmas Canvas | Creating a farmhouse light up Christmas Canvas #christmasdiy #christmascraft #farmhousechristmas | By Country Lily Decor | This project we're using an eight by 10 canvas and I'm going to add a layer of Mod Podge to the entire top part as well as the sides then we can set that to the side and let it dry I'm also using a gift bag this is an absolutely gorgeous gift bag I love the style the farmhouse feel of the tractor but you could pick whatever style you like a snowman a Christmas tree anything will work for this I actually this bag at roses but Dollar Tree carries some very beautiful gift bags. I cut the front of the bag apart but I did leave some sides and top and bottom because my original idea was to wrap this entire canvas including the sides with it. I'm going to trim that down a little bit more so it's more manageable and cut that down once I know exactly where the design is going to lay on the canvas. Our Mod Podge is dry so now we can attach our gift bag to the front of this I'm going to do that by placing a piece of parchment paper over there using my mini iron and just gently going over that to reactivate the Mod Podge and adhere the bag to the canvas and if you're interested in one of those mini irons, I do have that listed in my Amazon store. Once I started looking at it, I really didn't like that candy cane stripe feel on the sides. So, I'm going to set this on my cutting board and using my utility knife, just trim the sides off but I do want to wrap the top and bottom. It will have that continuous design. I'm going to use the same method with the parchment paper and the iron to get that on there and I did kind of crease it up really well before I did that and I do have a little bit extra and I could trim that off but I just decided to hot glue it to the back and this is how it's looking so far. It's white on each of the sides and I think that looks better than the red and white stripe. Now is the time of year to find these fairy lights at Dollar Tree. I like using these because the wire is very thin and the lights are tiny. They're not super bulky. They carry them in a nice, warm white as well as a cool white. Now, I want the lights to show up in the headlights, the wreath, and the tree and to get a tiny hole in there so it won't be as visible on the front but that the lights will peek through. I'm using a doll needle and you can find this at Walmart or any craft store just to poke through the gift bag and the canvas. Then I could find the two center lights and to hold the wire in place. I'm going to use some of Dollar Tree's adhesive dots. If you've never used these before, it's just like these little sticky glue pieces that you peel off and it'll go right over the wire and onto the canvas to hold your lights right over the holes you just poked in there. Then I could determine where I want to put the holes in the tree but make you move your lights out of the way so you don't poke your wire, I can go ahead and put four holes up there, add my lights just like we previously did holding them in place with the glue dots and then I can do the same thing for the wreath in the front and I'll have four lights to put there. Once you have all of your lights in place, the battery pack will sit perfectly right on the backside of the canvas. For more budget-friendly home decor DIYs and crafts, make sure to like and follow.
