Support your local library!
Some of our libraries have local Friends' Groups. Friends' Groups help to support, enhance and raise awareness of the library service by assisting with activities, running their own activities and providing additional facilities for the local area. Fundraising Ideas for Friends Groups Beyond Book Sales
This article had a lot of great ideas for fundraising opportunities for Friends groups that went beyond just doing book sales. Friends of the Library
The 18th annual National Friends of Libraries Week is Oct. 15-21, 2023. The celebration offers a two-fold opportunity to celebrate Friends. These groups can help promote your library in the community, raise awareness, and promote membership. This is also an excellent opportunity for your library and Board of Trustees to recognize the Friends for their help and support of the library.
