All shelves are made to order in your desired depth, length and wood species. The photos are examples only. Depth will vary a bit due to the uneven nature of live edge. Each shelf is unique and different. If you are looking for specific attributes please message us. Each shelf is solid wood, locally sourced and hand finished. The shelves are cut to size, bark is removed and natural edge is exposed. A small groove 1/4" wide x 1/16" deep (located 2" from the back of the shelf) can be added that will catch the edge of a picture frame and prevent it from sliding off the shelf. All of our products are finished with two coats of 100% pure natural oil with zero VOC (volatile organic compounds.) and a final wax coat. These time tested finishes are safer and easier to maintain than their modern day chemical competitors. Oil and wax does not have a sheen. Please message me at checkout with your desired wood species and if you want the small groove option to prevent pictures from sliding off the shelf. Wood species: Cherry and walnut are always available. All other species subject to availability from our suppliers. Attach the shelf to your wall with self taping screws (supplied) into the predrilled holes in the bottom of the shelf . After receiving your order we will message you a shelf placement PDF that gives detailed information on how to provide us the screw hole spacing for your shelf for shelves longer than 30". For shelves 30" or less long we will space two mounting holes and provide toggle bolts for mounting unless you message us otherwise. Want a custom length? Feel free to message me for custom requests. Daylight and air naturally color the wood with subtlety. Cherry will darken. Mulberry will darken a little and mellow in color. Mulberry can be quite yellow when newly finished but mellows to a warm brown. These woods can be much lighter when first received, but will mature in 6 - 12 months.
