Almond Cake (A Scratch Recipe)

• 4 Eggs, large

• 1 2/3 tbsp Almond extract

• 2 tsp Baking powder

• 1/2 tsp Baking soda

• 3 cups Cake flour

• 6 cups Powdered sugar

• 1 tsp Salt

• 2 cups Sugar

• 1/4 cup Vegetable oil

• 1/2 cup Almonds

• 3 1/2 sticks Butter, unsalted

• 1 1/4 cups Buttermilk

• We used additional sliced almonds to decorate the cake and created texture in the frosting using a small offset spatula. Rosette border was piped with a star tip 21
