About the Fact Hunt & 3D Lantern Activity Students will learn critical facts about Paul Revere’s Ride while filling in pages to create a 3D lantern (similar to Revere’s). They’ll be up on their feet, rotating around the classroom, collecting facts, and learning! The facts provide background information on Paul Revere and the Revolutionary Period, the purpose and details of the ride, and the impact of the ride. The result is a visually appealing 3D lantern filled with information about Paul Revere and the start of the Revolutionary War. Its interactive shape filled with learning makes it a hit in the classroom! About the Small Group Discussion Questions After students learn about Paul Revere’s ride, they’ll have the opportunity to expand their learning with targeted discussion questions. The discussion questions provide more background information on Revere’s ride and its impact on the Revolutionary War. While in small groups, students will review 6 different discussion questions. They’ll discuss each question as a group. While listening and contributing, students will record critical discussion points on a graphic organizer chart. This activity is a wonderful way to expand students’ learning and create a community of learners in the classroom. Both activities make learning about Paul Revere’s ride and the start of the Revolutionary War meaningful and engaging.
