Communicating our ideas is an essential task and writing remains fundamental to that task. Even as streaming video climbs in popularity, quality content is built on scripts, story boards, and planning. While we may not consume writing directly, it is the foundation of the audio/visual content we have come to love. If students want to be a YouTube star, then they will have to express their stories in writing so a coherent video can be made.
