Um so today we're doing a messy bow tutorial. Um we are starting out with five different ribbon patterns. We're cutting 10 strips two of each pattern at about 18 inches. And then we are going to start forming our loop. So you're going to grab the ribbon and I do it in half and then I pinch about a quarter of the way down for each loop. Um you'll see that I'm alternating the patterns in my hand so that no two patterns are touching or the same. Um so again there's ten strips at about eighteen inches and you're going to pinch those a quarter the way down. Once you have them all secured in your hand you're going to take a zip tie and you're going to secure that at the same quarter that you pinched the ribbon. You're going to pull that very tight so everything is nice and secure and then we're going to start fluffing out our loops. Again alternating the pattern so that the loops are not or the same pattern isn't touching. And then we're going to do the same thing for the tails. You're going to pull those tails out. Um so at the end you'll see that the tails it's flat at the bottom. Um so just keep pulling the loops out. And it will start coming together. Once you have everything fluffed out the way that you like. I dovetail the tails with my scissors. If you prefer not to dovetail, you can keep a straight edge on these. Um so for this bow I use it on door leaners as well as door hangers. This is a bigger bow that I made for a door leaner. If you want to do a smaller you can do about fifteen to 16 inches for the ribbon. Uh versus 18 to 19. Um you can also make this bow just using two patterns or even just one pattern if you prefer but this one, I wanted it to be a little more dramatic. Um so, I used five.
