Easy DIY Headband with Elastic for Kids & Adults | Beginner Sewing Tutorial & Free PDF Pattern
Difficulty: Easy Project-specific supplies: • Free sewing pattern (or the cutting measurements) from my blog Threads Monthly. • Lightweight knit fabric with 2 or 4 way stretch. • 1″ (25mm) wide ‘knit’ elastic. • Thread. I used polyester ‘sew-all’ thread by Gutermann. • Ballpoint sewing machine needle in size 80/12. • Big safety pin for turning tubes inside out and inserting elastic. Basic sewing supplies: • Fabric scissors, or a rotary cutter and mat to cut the fabric. • Small scissors for snipping threads. • Flexible tape measure. • (Optional) Sewing pins and clips. • Seam ripper for undoing mistakes. • Sewing machine.
