DIY Pool Umbrella Stand Using Planter & Quickcrete. Choose planter large enough and sturdy enough to hold your umbrella. Cut a PVC pipe less than the height of your planter. Mix quickCrete and add quickCrete to bottom of planter while holding PVC pipe in place, let completely dry. Add umbrella! You can also add plants or fake foliage around umbrella to give a more finished and lush look. Leftover concrete.
