Lesson Recap of Learning to Cross Stitch: The Basic Stitches of Cross Stitch
Let's go over the basic stitches you need to know if you want to cross stitch - the cross stitch, the half stitch, the pin stitch, and the 3/4 stitch. I'll sound like a broken record, but if you've watched a few of the videos, you'll know the most important step to a clean stitch - consistency. Make sure everything lies relatively flat and be as consistent as you can. The repetitive nature of cross stitch is what truly makes it stunning. From far away, it'll look like a work of art, but from up close, people (and yourself) will be stunned and amazed by the time and effort you put into the piece. One more piece of advice for now - If you're ever struggling, take a deep breath and step back. No matter how much you love doing something, sometimes it can be difficult. Take a moment to rest
