Natalie on Instagram: "Did you know that a long lasting way to preserve flowers is in baby oil?! Recycle glass jars by removing the labels and filling them with spring blooms and baby oil. You can use a chopstick to push them down and arrange them. According to Google, the flowers can last up to a year this way! It’s Spring in a jar 🌸🌼"
Sibia Torres Padilla | DIYs on Instagram: "I decided to give these little yogurt jars, a makeover. We’re going to be using them to keep Rosie’s hair, ties, hair, clips, etc. I started by removing the label and painting them with acrylic paint (2 coats) I chose a pretty napkin, cut the flowers out and separated the plies, leaving only the top layer. Then I added them to my jar using mod podge, but other types of glue would work as well as long as they dry clear. I painted the rim gold just because I thought it would be really pretty and I let them dry. That’s it! You can seal these with a clear sealer, but I haven’t done that yet. Overall, I am pretty happy with the way they turned out. let me know what you think of this upcycled DIY"
Medina Grillo on Instagram: "I got so many questions about this bookshelf when I shared my mini bedroom makeover over the weekend, that I thought it might be a good idea to share this tutorial again. It’s literally just a wooden dish rack - hung vertically. Two things to note though : - don’t use the IKEA osbit ones, they’re too short and the books will just slip out (learnt this first hand) - the self adhesive strips work best on non porous surfaces which means they could peel off paint on some walls (it’s not happened to me yet but I’ve heard stories). I’d advise removing with a hair dryer if you’re concerned this could happen. Alternatively you could just use screw in cup hooks if you don’t mind making holes. Will you try this in your bedroom? #bedroom #diybookshelf #bookshelfi
LOUISE UPSHALL | ECO-PRINTS & NATURAL DYE on Instagram: "I love eco-printing on paper for so many reasons, here’s just 3 of them: 🌿 You can try most types of plants and paper, and something will happen. 🌿 If you aren’t using a mordant, it can safely be done with even the tiniest helper (although you need extra patience for that 🙃) 🌿 You can be more playful than with eco-printing or natural dyeing on clothing, because the results don’t need to be as washfast and lightfast - you won’t be washing the paper regularly or taking it out in the sun for extended periods. 🌸 I’ve created a free mini book about ‘Paper Eco-Print Projects’, with 3 tutorials for you to try and some examples of plants I love using on paper. Comment PROJECTS and I’ll send you the link to get it 😊💗 PS if you don’t g
