Peppermint Bark Meringues & Classic Linzer Cookies!
For Peppermint Bark Meringues:
INGREDIENTS
• 2 large egg whites
• 1/2 cup granulated sugar
• 1/8 tsp salt
• 1/8 tsp cream of tartar
Candy canes, crushed
• Dark chocolate, melted
1. Preheat-5 mins
Preheat oven to 200*F.
2. Whisk-5 mins
Whisk egg whites at medium speed, until slightly foamy, then add your 1/8 tsp cream of tartar.
3. Whisk-7 mins
Increase speed to high, then slowly add 1/2 cup granulated sugar and 1/8 tsp salt, and whisk for 7 minutes until glossy.
4. Pipe-5 mins
Add the Meringue base to a pastry bag fitted with a star tip, and pipe meringues onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
5. Bake-90 mins
Bake for 90 minutes, then turn off the oven and allow the meringues to cool in the oven.
