Roxie Marie Costumes

I was 5 years old when my mom taught me how to use a sewing machine. I was immediately hooked. I took some scrap fabric, folded it over, sewed a single seam and proudly declared that I had sewn myself a skirt. I slipped it on, ran around the house for about 5 minutes before the seam popped and my very first garment was in ruins. Around the same age, I also made my first costume -a bird with construction paper wings. My passions quickly melded together and I've been making costumes for 30 years.
