A massive level up in every department: incredibly delicious and spellbinding serpentine melodies, packed with half-step tensions and dissonances resolving into fist-pumping bangers slicker than a pack of butter in an oil spill. Soaring, superbly evocative and musical solos. Hugely strengthened vocals roaring fantastical lyrics. All delivering an impeccably tenebrous, arcane, uh… stygian mood. What a powerhouse. The perfect heavy metal record? I will be scrying this orb for many moons.
