#DavidHall is believed to be the administrative office of Hendrik Van Rheede, the erstwhile governor of Dutch Malabar. He authored ‘Hortus Malabaricus’ – a 12-volume comprehensive treatise describing 740 plants in the region. The building has since been restored and is now a contemporary art gallery café that hosts global art exhibits, Kochi Biennale being one of them.
