Kristen Stevens on Instagram: "I’m making some candied pecans for a salad I’m bringing to a dinner party tonight and wanted to share the method with you. I didn’t measure the ingredients, but I’ve winged versions of these many times and they always taste amazing. Bring a pat of butter, about ¼ cup of maple syrup, cinnamon, salt, and pepper to a boil in a frying pan. Add about a cup of toasted pecans and stir until the pan is almost dry. Immediately transfer them to a bowl of sugar (I like demerara sugar) and mix until they’re coated. Then put them on parchment paper to cool and dry. That’s it! They’re a treat sprinkled in arugula salad with goat cheese. And they’re wonderful to snack on too!"
