STEM Challenge- Survival Shelter Building- Engage your students in learning with this hands-on science/engineering STEM problem solving challenge, and introduce them to Wendell as their year long learning mascot for STEM Challenges and other activities! This product begins with story slides that introduce Wendell and the purpose of the task. Students are given the criteria for the build, supply choices, and a scoring rubric. Students will work cooperatively to complete STEM- Operation Survival Shelter by building a survival shelter for Wendell. Your students will love this STEM project with personality as they work with their new friend, Wendell! This is the next installment in the Wendell STEM Adventure series! STEM projects are such a fun way to encourage and build a sense of community and cooperation in your classroom while fostering learning and thinking at the same time! This STEM challenge can be used to correlate to any unit on survival, shelters, even Native American shelters during a Native American social studies unit.
