Platbands are traditional wooden window decoration, which appeared in Russia around the XVII century, flourished in the late XIX-early XX centuries. This is an elusive beauty of Russian villages and cities- rarely any serves more than 100 years. It is difficult to imagine a village without a trim, without a cat in the window. In this project we want to draw attention to the monuments of Russian wooden architecture.
